According to the latest survey carried out by e.surv, four out of the UK’s top five repossession hotspots are located in the North West of England. This includes Blackpool, Chester, Oldham and Wigan.
The Ministry of Justice figures and their own data were analysed by E.surv for court ordered repossessions from the 30th June 2012 to 30th June 2013 and found that there were 3.2 repossessions per 1,000 properties in the North of England compared to 2.4 per 1,000 households in the south. Since the Help to Buy Scheme was revealed, it has given a sense of hope to the many people struggling to purchase a home of their own therefore, forced to rent long term or live with their parents.
